Support Library Improvements
|
|
Recent surveys show that Palo Alto voters
generally favor bond measures to improve the city's libraries. A
poll conducted by the City of Palo Alto in November found that 53% of
likely voters would support a $78 million bond measure to renovate library
branches and other community facilities. Another 14% were leaning
towards supporting such a measure, totaling the 2/3 majority necessary for
passage. Separately, Libraries Now! surveyed residents in October
and found that 65% would support a $60 million bond measure to improve the
libraries. For more information, see the Palo
Alto Weekly article. |
